WHAT CAN & CAN'T I BRING INTO HSC EXAMS; WHICH EQUIPMENTS ARE ALLOWED?
For all HSC exams, you are allowed to bring in:
- Pens (black is preferred, and bring spare ones too!)
- Ruler
- Highlighter
- Pencils
- Eraser
- Sharpener
- Clear water bottle (take off all the paper/advertising on them)
What you CANNOT bring in:
- Programmable watches (e.g. Apple Watch) [normal watches are allowed but you have to place them on your desk]
- Mobile phone
- Any other electronic devices (except for calculators)
- Paper or any printed materials
- Dictionaries (though permitted in some language examinations)
- Correction fluid/white-out

*These can be very useful if you find it hard to draw perfect circles (such as for circle geometry), ellipses (attention 4 unit students!), or curves in general. These templates also contain equations and graphs of simple curves (e.g. y = x², y = sin x, y =1/x) which you may find helpful as well. Acceptable templates include Mathomat and Mathomat Senior.
