Finding the Derivative, Chain Rule, Product Rule, Quotient Rule, Tangents and Normals, the Gradient Function
In this video, I will demonstrate how to answer some typical basic calculus exam questions using examples from real exams under both the Advanced Maths (2U) and Extension 1 Maths (3U) course. Examples include:
How to find the derivative of x to the power of n
The application of chain rule, product rule and quotient rule in differentiation
How to find the equation of tangent and normal
Drawing the gradient function from the graph of the function
This is relevant for both Year 11 and Year 12 students preparing for HSC Mathematics and HSC Maths Extension 1 for 2020 and onwards.
